Certificate of Title Bond

When attempting to register a vehicle with a lost, stolen, defective or abandoned title you may be required to provide a Certificate of Title Surety Bond to your local Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) in lieu of the original title. Certificate of Title Bonds can be required for vehicles which may include automobiles, trailers, motorcycles, scooters, ATV's, custom built vehicles, motor homes, buses, mobile homes, trailer homes, semi trucks and trailers, boats, PWC, and aircraft. This Bond provides security in the event that a title issue arises within 3 years of a new title being issued. The DMV typically will require that the Bond penalty be at least two times the value of the motor vehicle. Please confirm your Bond penalty amount with the DMV.
